Locked Out in Point Loma?

Most locksmiths carry picks, a key machine, and a handful of residential blanks. My van is an automotive-only mobile shop. EEPROM is the memory chip on your immobilizer board that stores key data. Normally I write new keys through the OBD-II port and the process is routine. But when that path won't cooperate, usually all-keys-lost on older Hondas or certain Toyota and Lexus ECUs that refuse a standard handshake, I go straight to the source. Newer trims shifted to the 8A H-chip running DST-AES encryption, which needs a seed-key calculation to program. Honda follows a similar arc. CR-Vs and Accords from 2006 to 2017 use the NXP ID46 Hitag2, while newer models run the ID47 Hitag3 with a stronger cipher.
