Car Key Locksmith in Westlake Village
Every Toyota since 2005 has a transponder chip inside the key head. If that chip isn't registered to your car's ECU, the engine won't start. Doesn't matter if the blade is cut perfectly. The immobilizer antenna ring reads the chip at 125kHz, and if the response doesn't match, nothing happens. A Camry owner near Westlake Plaza found that out last month after a hardware store cut him a key that turned the cylinder and did absolutely nothing else. I decoded the door with a TOY48 Lishi, cut a new blade with a 4D67 transponder chip, and wrote it to the immobilizer using a Smart Pro. Engine fired on the first turn.

EVERY KEY TYPE, ONE VAN
Transponder Key Programming
Your 2009 Toyota Camry uses a 4D67 transponder chip running on the 125kHz immobilizer frequency. When that chip fails or you lose the key entirely, I decode the lock with a TOY48 Lishi, cut a fresh blade, and register the new chip to the ECU using a Smart Pro. $145-$185.
Car Key Replacement
Your 2014 Honda Accord uses an ID46 Hitag2 transponder in the key head. When the only key disappears at The Promenade after dinner, I generate the key code, cut the blade on a Condor XC-Mini, and sync the chip to the immobilizer through the diagnostic port. Once it's registered, it's registered. $175-$225.
Push-to-Start / Smart Key
Your 2019 Toyota Highlander uses an H-chip system, a 128-bit DST-AES encrypted transponder paired with a 315MHz proximity signal for passive entry. When every smart key is lost, standard OBD programming won't cut it. I pull the immobilizer module, read the EEPROM data on the bench, and write the new key profile. This one takes patience. The security validation runs a full cycle and there's no shortcut through it. $245-$325.
Key Fob Programming
Your 2016 Lexus ES uses a 315MHz proximity fob tied to the smart key immobilizer. When a replacement fob bought online won't pair, I verify the FCC ID and frequency first. If it's wrong, I'll tell you before you spend a dollar. If it checks out, I register it through the vehicle's OBD-II connector with an Autel IM608. $245-$325.
