Car Key Locksmith in Otay Ranch
Bought the car with one key and a handshake. No spare, no manual, and no idea who else has a copy. That's how a Honda Civic landed on my schedule last month, fresh off a Facebook Marketplace deal in the Otay Ranch Town Center parking lot. The seller handed over one worn transponder key and walked. I connected the Autel IM608, pulled the immobilizer data, and deleted the old key registration. Cut a fresh HON66 blade and programmed two new keys from scratch. The seller's copy is dead weight now.

OUR TOOLSET FOR Otay Ranch
Transponder Key Programming
After a private sale, your Civic still answers to the previous owner's transponder. I pull the EEPROM data through the VVDI, wipe every registered chip, and write your new ID47 key as the only one the immobilizer recognizes. Did this on a 2017 Civic near Birch Road where the buyer had been driving on the seller's original key for three months. The old key is a paperweight now. $145-$185.
Push-to-Start / Smart Key
After a private sale, your Altima's push-to-start system still has the seller's proximity fob registered in the BCM. I connect the Autel IM608, pull the key count, and delete every fob that isn't yours before registering a new smart key. Here's the thing with Nissan: some 2015-2018 Altimas require a 16-minute security bypass during reprogramming, and there's no way to rush it. A Millenia condo owner found that out after buying her Altima off OfferUp. Sat in the garage while the timer ran, then twenty minutes later the car only answered to her. $245-$325.
Car Key Replacement
After a private sale, your Camry still responds to whatever keys the last owner cut. I decode the door lock with a TOY48 Lishi, cut a new blade to factory depth and spacing, and register the 4D transponder chip through the diagnostic port. Every old key goes dead once the new profile is written. Handled one at the Town Center lot where the buyer realized the single key he got didn't even have a working chip. $175-$225.
Ignition Repair and Replacement
After a private sale, your F-150 still turns with the seller's worn key, and that cylinder has been matching every sloppy copy they ever made. I pull the cylinder, decode with an HU101 Lishi, rebuild the wafer stack to reject anything but a precision-cut blade, and reprogram the PATS chip so the ignition and the immobilizer both recognize you alone. If the cylinder walls are scored past a certain point, a rebuild won't hold and it needs the full housing replacement. I'll tell you which one before I start. $185-$275.
